Job summary

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior SAP ABAP Specialist to join the S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. You will drive end-to-end ABAP development, performance tuning, and integrate SAP modules with external systems.

You will mentor junior developers and collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical designs. A strong background in ABAP OO and SAP integration is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, preferably in S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in ABAP OO, ALV, BAPI, BADI, and enhancement framework.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, OData, SOAP, PI/PO).
• Proven track record in performance tuning and SQL trace analysis.
• Proficiency in debugging complex ABAP code and troubleshooting runtime issues.
• Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Gateway, and basic SAP Fiori concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps practices within SAP projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; SAP certification is a plus.

• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Debug, analyze root causes, and resolve ABAP issues in complex programs.
• Optimize ABAP performance using profiling tools.
