Job summary

Ultraviolette Automotive in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Colour, Trim & Graphics Designer to lead CMF strategies across the vehicle portfolio, shaping color, materials, finishes and graphic language. You will collaborate with Marketing, Brand and Product teams to translate brand strategies into tactile, visually compelling vehicle elements.

You will mentor CTG designers and drive material libraries, while ensuring feasibility, durability and cost considerations are addressed in close partnership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Design-related field.
• 7+ years CTG & Material Design experience with production exposure.
• Strong knowledge of automotive plastics/composites and finishes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMF strategies for current and future vehicle programs.
• Research trends in colours, materials, finishes and textures, and present CMF findings.
• Develop and oversee a library of innovative materials.
• Develop vehicle graphics, decals, livery concepts, branding elements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, and Product to translate brand strategies into tactile products.
• Evaluate material feasibility, durability, quality, sustainability, and cost implications.
• Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Manufacturing to implement design intent.
• Review and approve colour standards, material specifications, and production samples.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CTG designers; establish processes and standards.

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Colour, Trim & Graphics (CTG) Designer to lead the development of Colour, Material, Finish, and Graphic strategies across our vehicle portfolio. Candidate should be passionate about Vehicles and have good understanding of the Automotive industry and the culture around it

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Graphic Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience in Colour, Trim & Graphics (CTG) & Material Design with few Designs already in production.
• Extensive knowledge of Automotive plastics / composites, Material finishes, Manufacturing processes, and supplier capabilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)/ Corel Draw. Fluency with usage of Visualization tools like Keyshot, Blender, VRed is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of colour, material, and finish (CMF) strategies for current and future vehicle programs.
• Research and identify emerging trends in Colours, Materials, Finishes, Textures, and sustainable solutions relevant to the automotive industry by creating compelling CMF presentations, mood boards, material boards.
• Developing and overseeing a library of innovative materials.

Graphics & Branding

• Develop and oversee vehicle graphics, decals, livery concepts, badging, and visual branding elements including special editions, limited editions & personalization program.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, and Product teams to translate brand strategies into tactile products.

Technical Expertise & Development

• Evaluate Material feasibility, durability, quality, sustainability, and cost implications.
• Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful implementation of design intent.
• Review and approve colour standards, material specifications, and production samples.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Colour, Trim & Graphics designers.
• Establish design processes, standards, and best practices within the CMTG function.
