Job summary

Loud Labs is seeking an experienced Senior CMS Lead to own our Content Management System, Content ID, and digital rights management operations. You will manage rights-management systems, oversee piracy detection and enforcement, develop SOPs, and lead a team protecting digital content across online platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Digital Rights Management (DRM), content protection, enforcement, and the ability to build efficient operational processes.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior CMS Lead to take ownership of our Content Management System (CMS), Content ID, and digital rights management operations. The role will involve managing rights-management systems and platforms, overseeing piracy detection and enforcement processes, handling escalations, developing Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), and leading a team responsible for protecting digital content across online platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Digital Rights Management (DRM), excellent knowledge of content protection and enforcement, and the ability to build and manage efficient operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Content Management System (CMS), Content ID, and digital rights management systems.
• Take ownership of the overall content protection and rights-management workflow.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for piracy detection, claims, takedowns, and enforcement.
• Monitor and improve content detection and rights-enforcement processes across digital platforms.
• Handle and resolve complex digital rights management (DRM), copyright, claims, and escalation-related issues.
• Review escalated cases and determine appropriate action in accordance with established rights and enforcement procedures.
• Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Manage, train, and mentor the mid-level DRM team and junior monitoring team.
• Develop processes and strategies to improve the identification and enforcement of unauthorised content.
• Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to address rights-management and content-protection issues.
• Track recurring piracy patterns, repeat offenders, and emerging methods of unauthorised content distribution.
• Ensure proper documentation and evidence collection for enforcement actions.
• Stay updated on changes in platform policies, copyright practices, and digital rights-management platforms.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in the Digital Rights Management (DRM) / Digital Rights Management industry.
• Extensive knowledge of digital rights management, copyright protection, piracy monitoring, Content ID, claims, and takedown processes.
• Hands-on experience with relevant rights-management and content-protection platforms.
• Experience managing or leading teams.
• Strong understanding of digital content distribution and online piracy.
• Proven experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and operational processes.
• Primarily Monday to Friday; however, work may extend to weekends based on operational requirements, with additional working days compensated through Compensatory Leave (Comp-Off).
• Ability to handle sensitive and complex escalations independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the entertainment, media, creator, or digital-content industry.
• Knowledge or education in Copyright Law, Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Law, or a related legal field is a strong plus.
• Experience working with major digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other content platforms.
• Experience with content identification, piracy detection, rights enforcement, and digital takedown systems.
• Experience building or improving automated/manual content-detection processes.
