Job summary

RSK IEC in India seeks an experienced BIM Engineer / Modeler with 5–10 years in developing and managing high-quality 3D models for water and wastewater projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit is essential to coordinate with multiple disciplines and maintain BIM standards.

The role involves developing detailed 3D models, producing drawings and outputs, and ensuring timely delivery while resolving clashes and interface issues.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling/design for water or infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit with model coordination.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, amend, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings and model outputs for water infrastructure projects.
• Develop piping and equipment routes and ensure accurate integration within BIM models.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process and other disciplines for model integration.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Support development of coordinated BIM models and resolve design clashes.
• Incorporate equipment, specifications, installation details, and supplier data into BIM models.
• Ensure timely delivery of models and drawings per BIM standards and project timelines.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced BIM Engineer / Modeler with 5–10 years of experience in developing and managing high-quality 3D models for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit, along with a good understanding of BIM processes, multidisciplinary coordination, and engineering design standards.

You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to develop accurate and coordinated BIM models and contribute to the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, amend, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit based on design requirements and project specifications.


• Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and model outputs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.


• Develop piping and equipment routes and ensure accurate integration of design information within BIM models.


• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and other engineering disciplines to ensure multidisciplinary model integration.


• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.


• Support the development of coordinated BIM models and identify and resolve design clashes and interface issues.


• Incorporate equipment, specifications, installation details, and supplier information into BIM models.


• Ensure models and drawings are delivered in accordance with project timelines, BIM standards, and quality requirements.


• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support project teams in resolving modelling and design-related issues.


• Maintain BIM model quality and follow established BIM Execution Plans, project standards, and data management procedures.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of digital technologies to improve project delivery and efficiency.


• Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, quality, and project requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling/design, preferably within the water, wastewater, infrastructure, or engineering consultancy sector.


• Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit.


• Experience in developing 3D models and engineering drawings for water/wastewater or infrastructure projects.


• Good understanding of BIM processes, modelling standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.


• Experience working with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection would be an advantage.


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and design information.


• Knowledge of relevant engineering/BIM standards and project procedures.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality models.


• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.


• A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous learning, and adoption of new digital technologies.


• Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Engineering Design, BIM, or a related discipline will be preferred.
