Job summary

Lonza Group in Hyderabad is seeking a data analytics professional to drive BI across the digital, data, and AI organization. You will develop insights and enable data-driven decision making for global operations.

The role focuses on Power BI, SQL, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric, collaborating with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable data solutions and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering BI/analytics insights in corporate or consulting settings.
• Strong Power BI expertise with DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication; cloud data platforms (Azure).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Design scalable data models, semantic layers, KPIs, and DAX measures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial.
• Build and enhance data pipelines and integrations using SQL and Microsoft data technologies.
• Develop and support front-end and back-end components of data-driven web applications.
• Promote data governance, reporting standards, and security/lifecycle compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement through performance optimization and user enablement.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Design scalable data models, semantic layers, KPIs, and DAX measures to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders from functions such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial to translate requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Build and enhance data pipelines and integrations using SQL and Microsoft data technologies, supporting enterprise reporting initiatives.
• Develop and support front-end and back-end components of data-driven web applications where required.
• Promote data governance, reporting standards, and best practices while ensuring compliance with security and lifecycle requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through performance optimization, user enablement, and adoption of emerging capabilities within Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric.
  

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions in a corporate or consulting environment.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and data visualization best practices.
• Advanced SQL development skills and experience working with large-scale data sets and relational data models.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure; exposure to Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a collaborative mindset with experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.
