Job summary

Lonza in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Data Solutions Engineer to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using Azure, Fabric, and SQL technologies. You will partner with stakeholders to translate data needs into robust technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

You will develop data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks for analytics, KPI reporting, and operational insights, while collaborating with global teams on self-service analytics and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise data engineering, analytics, or data architecture solutions.
• Strong SQL development and data modeling capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services and Fabric.
• Knowledge of web development basics (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience; Azure/SQL certifications are a plus.

What you will do:

• Design and implement scalable end-to-end data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SQL technologies, and Azure Functions.
• Partner with business and functional stakeholders to translate data requirements into robust technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Develop and maintain data models, transformation pipelines, and integration frameworks that support analytics, KPI reporting, and operational insights.
• Build and support front-end and back-end components for data-driven web applications and business solutions.
• Collaborate with global data engineers, architects, analysts, and product teams to enable self-service analytics and automation capabilities.
• Contribute to enterprise data governance initiatives, including metadata management, lineage tracking, data quality, and access control.
• Support continuous improvement of data platforms and engineering practices through modern DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud technologies.
  

What we are looking for:

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise data engineering, analytics, or data architecture solutions in a complex business environment.
• Strong expertise in SQL development, data modeling, and modern ELT/ETL practices.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of web application development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Microsoft Azure or SQL certifications are advantageous.
