Job summary

Lonza in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and analytics solutions that convert complex data into insights for global functions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable BI solutions, build robust data models, and work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and SQL-based data sources to support strategic and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering BI, analytics, or data-driven solutions in a corporate setting.
• Strong Power BI skills: data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboards.
• Strong SQL with relational and dimensional data models.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, ETL processes, and large datasets.
• Knowledge of modern web tech and front-end practices (JavaScript).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.

This is an office-first role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that provide meaningful business insights.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions to understand business needs and translate requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Build and optimize data models, semantic layers, KPIs, and metrics to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Work with data from multiple enterprise sources using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL platforms, and related technologies.
• Develop and enhance front-end and back-end components supporting data-driven web applications and reporting solutions.
• Promote data governance, security, and best practices while ensuring solution quality and reliability.
• Coach and support business users in leveraging analytics tools and interpreting insights to improve performance and decision-making.
  

What we are looking for:

• Experience delivering business intelligence, analytics, or data-driven solutions in a corporate environment.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working with relational and dimensional data models.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, ETL processes, and large-scale datasets.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies and frameworks, such as JavaScript and contemporary front-end development practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in Power BI, data engineering, or analytics are advantageous.
