Senior Business Development Manager – Field Sales
The Senior Business Development Manager – Field Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth through on-ground sales activities, lead generation, relationship management, and conversion of prospects into paying customers. This is a client-facing, performance-driven role requiring strong networking, consultative selling, and closing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Sales & Revenue Growth
- Own and drive field sales targets and revenue outcomes in the assigned territory
- Conduct on-ground prospecting, meetings, demos, counseling sessions, events, and seminars
- Convert walk-ins, enquiries, campus leads, partnerships & referrals into sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across students, institutions, corporates, and training partners
- Track & nurture leads using CRM tools
- Conduct follow-ups, presentations, and discovery discussions to understand customer needs
- Explain GUVI programs, outcomes, pricing, and ROI to prospects
- Build trusted relationships with students, parents, and institutional decision-makers
- Handle objections and guide customers through purchase decisions
- Ensure high conversion ratios and optimized sales funnel performance
- Market Development
- Conduct field visits, market mapping, and competitor analysis
- Participate in career fairs, education expos, partner events & community outreach
- Identify and onboard channel partners/institutional tie-ups
- Work closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, Product & Operations teams
- Submit MIS, forecasts, weekly reports, and conversion dashboards
- Contribute to sales strategies & process improvements
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in field sales / business development
- Experience in EdTech / Education / Training / Skilling / SaaS / B2C sales preferred
- Proven track record of meeting & exceeding revenue targets
- Willingness to travel extensively
