Job summary

ZF Group in Chennai, India, is seeking a Senior BSW Developer (SoC) to design and govern software partitioning across High Level OS and RTOS domains, validate architecture with MPU+MCU platforms, and ensure safety-aligned inter-processor communication. The role focuses on building PoCs, supporting integration and debugging, and shaping platform software for automotive ECUs.

You bring 6–10 years of embedded software experience, strong C/C++ skills, and hands-on experience with Linux-based

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in embedded software architecture and design.
• Experience with heterogeneous SoC platforms (MPU + MCU).
• Hands on knowledge of: High Level OS (Linux, QNX, or similar) & RTOS environments & Programming proficiency in C / C++.
• Solid understanding of inter processor communication mechanisms.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments.
• Strong system level thinking across HW–SW boundaries.
• Automotive ECU or vehicle control system experience.
• Exposure to AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive concepts & Functional safety awareness (ISO 26262).

Responsibilities

• Build PoCs and prototypes to validate architectural decisions, evaluate SoC platforms (MPU+MCU), OS stacks, middleware, and communication frameworks.
• Design and govern software partitioning and interaction between High Level OS and RTOS domains, including clear responsibility separation, performance, and real time behavior.
• Define software concepts for robust inter processor communication mechanisms aligned with automotive safety standards.
• Support integration, debugging, and validation activities
• 6 to 10 years of experience in embedded software development or software architecture.
• Proven experience with complex ECU architectures or platform software development.
