Job summary

ZF Group in India seeks a Functional Safety Manager (m/f/d) to plan and monitor safety activities within the software domain, and to own safety artifacts for safety plans and safety cases. Strong expertise in AUTOSAR, RTOS, and ISO 26262 is essential, with hands-on experience in safety analyses and fault injection testing.

The role requires collaboration across engineering teams, risk assessment of architecture changes, and fluent English communication to support safety audits and project

Qualifications

• Experience in performing safety analysis for safety critical functions in automotive domain.
• Strong understanding of functional safety requirements.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture, RTOS, and SW development process.
• Experience in system requirement analysis and ASIL decomposition for SW components.
• Experience in test specification and execution of Fault injection tests as part of SWE.6.
• Knowledge of Base Software development and configuration; familiarity with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor functional safety activities within the SW domain.
• Manage artifacts related to SW domain within safety plan and safety case report.
• Conduct safety analyses such as FTA, DFA, FFI for SW domain.
• Perform risk assessment and impact analysis of architecture changes; represent SW in safety assessments/audits.
• Communicate effectively in English and apply ISO 26262 standards.
