Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a BIM Process specialist in Tamil Nadu to drive BIM coordination across multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses on adhering to BEP, ISO 19650 and project standards, with emphasis on model audits and IFC interoperability.

Job description

BIM PROCESS

• Strong knowledge in BIM Process and Implementation strategy
• Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ISO 19650 and project-specific standards.
• Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, clash detection, and interdisciplinary coordination
• Conduct regular model audits to check LOD (Level of Development) compliance and data consistency.
• Ensure that BIM models are IFC-compliant and interoperable with other platforms.

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY

• Ability to support implementation for Multiple BIM projects
• Ability to use extensively the integrated BIM Platform for clash analysis, 4D, 5D (Bexel Manager, Navis Manage)
• Expertise in model optimization and performance
• Implement 4D scheduling, and 5D cost estimation workflows.
• Assist in the integration of Digital Twin and Smart BIM technologies.
• Streamline information exchange and project workflows through the CDE.

BIM COODINATION

• Act as the main point of contact for BIM-related coordination with project stakeholders
• Prepare and present clash reports, progress updates, and technical solutions to project teams.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and support decision-making with data-driven insights.
• Act as the main liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers for BIM-related matters.
• Present clash reports, progress updates, and technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations to improve coordination workflows and project efficiency.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and problem-solving.

Advanced Technical Skills

• Proficiency in using VR / AR / MR
• Model Quality check
• Power BI & BIM Data Analysis (Preferred for advanced roles)
• Ability to lead meetings, train teams, and work under tight deadlines.
• Integration of BIM with GIS, ERP, and Digital Twin technologies.
• Identify the use case of Digital Rehearsal and implement the same
• Improve Power BI dashboards for real-time project performance tracking.

Training, Mentorship & Team Leadership

• Train and mentor junior BIM Coordinators and BIM Modelers on best practices and software tools.
• Conduct BIM training sessions, workshops, and skill development programs.
• Develop BIM guidelines, standards, and templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide technical support and assist teams in resolving BIM-related challenges. Drive innovation in BIM processes by exploring new tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth BIM implementation
