Bewild, an extension of Beforest, is seeking a Senior Barista in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The role demands hands-on espresso extraction, latte art, and mentoring junior staff to maintain Bewild’s high coffee standards.

The position is full-time, on-site, with 9-hour shifts including weekends. Compensation ranges ₹23,000–₹27,000 per month, plus health insurance and gratuity as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of barista experience in a café or specialty coffee shop.
• Hands-on skills in espresso extraction, milk texturing/latte art, and methods like pour-over and French press.
• Prior experience mentoring junior staff is preferred.
• Basic understanding of stock and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and a customer-service orientation.
• Willing to work 9-hour shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coffee bar during shifts; ensure quality and timely service.
• Prepare espresso-based and specialty drinks to Bewild's recipes and standards.
• Assemble and warm food items to Bewild's presentation and food-safety standards.
• Train junior baristas on brewing technique, machine handling, calibration, and customer service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
• Manage stock of coffee, milk, syrups, and other bar consumables; assist with ordering.

Work Schedule

This is an on-ground, guest-facing role at acafé that operates through the week, including weekends.

• Overtime (OT) is paid extra if required, andonly when approved by Management.
• One weekly off, on aweekday (not Saturday or Sunday, since these are peak café days).
• Working on agovernment/public holiday earns one additional day off (comp-off) plusovertime pay for that day.

Role Overview

The Senior Barista leads the coffeebar on their shift - crafting food & beverages to Bewild's standards,keeping service moving during rush hours, and mentoring the junior baristas onthe team. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role with real ownership of qualityand training.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and servefood and beverages, including espresso-based and specialty drinks, consistentlyand to Bewild’s recipes and quality standards.

· Assemble and warmfood items (such as sandwiches, bakes and snacks) to Bewild’s presentation andfood-safety standards.

· Create and developrecipes for the café menu, in consultation with the Bewild team.

· Lead the bar duringshifts, coordinating workflow and pacing service through peak hours.

· Train and mentorjunior baristas on brewing technique, machine handling, calibration, andcustomer service.

· Maintain andtroubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, includingdaily cleaning routines.

· Manage stock ofcoffee, milk, syrups, and other bar consumables, and assist with ordering andinventory counts.

· Deliver warm,attentive guest service and confidently talk guests through Bewild's coffee,products, and story.

· Operate the POSsystem and handle cash/card transactions accurately.

· Uphold hygiene andfood-safety standards at the bar and across the café.

· Step into shift-leadresponsibilities in the Manager's absence.

· Support otherdepartments and cross-functional teams as needed.

Requirements
