Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Test / Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain a robust automation framework supporting global testing. The role focuses on improving testing infrastructure, productivity, and high-quality software delivery through advanced automation techniques.

You will design and implement automation solutions, collaborate with teams across geographies, and ensure adherence to established test strategies and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7.5 years of automation engineering experience.
• BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Backend testing with APIs & microservices.
• Java frameworks: Spring Boot / Spring.
• Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Strong Java and Python scripting.
• SQL and UNIX proficiency.
• CI tools: Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity.
• Familiar with AI-assisted tooling (GitHub Copilot).
• Nice-to-have: cloud, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, banking domain.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and improve the infrastructure.
• Develop custom tools and integrate with existing tools to increase engineering productivity.
• Define the automation book of work, collaborating with the team to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the bank, including international locations.
• Comply with test strategy, testing standards, templates, and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain an automation framework for testing the department's systems globally

SKILLS

Must have

• A minimum of 7.5 years of experience is required, with at least 8 years preferred
• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Experience in Backend testing with APIs & Microservices

• Strong scripting/programming skills in Java & Python
• Working experience with SQL and UNIX
