Job summary

Peoplefy Infosolutions in India is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer specializing in automation to design and maintain robust testing frameworks for web, API, backend, and enterprise banking applications.

You will execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests; validate API, database, and event-driven components; and integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines while helping improve coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, preferably in banking/fintech.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in UI test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience with API testing tools and database validation.
• Familiar with CI/CD and cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, backend, and integration testing. Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for enterprise banking applications.
• Perform API, database, backend, and event-driven system validation.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and track defects, working closely with Engineering and Product teams. Create reusable automation assets and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Monitor quality metrics and proactively identify testing risks. Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Adopt modern automation tools and AI-assisted testing practices to enhance engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in software testing, preferably within the banking, financial services, or fintech domain.
• Strong expertise in test automation, with demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, rather than simply executing automated test cases.
• UI Test Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
• API Testing: Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Database Testing: SQL and backend/data validation.
• CI/CD & Continuous Testing: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Performance Testing & Engineering.
• Event-Driven Systems: Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Cloud-Native Applications: Preferably Azure and Kubernetes.
