Job summary

Datamatics seeks a Senior Tester AI Test Automation / Playwright in Bengaluru with 6+ years of hands-on automation experience to lead testing strategies across the SDLC.

You will design and maintain Playwright-based frameworks, leverage AI tooling to generate test cases, and drive CI/CD integration while collaborating with customers and development teams in the manufacturing domain.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, business users, and development teams to define end-to-end testing strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Playwright with TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#.
• Leverage AI tools to generate, refine, and optimize test cases, automation scripts, and test data.
• Validate AI-generated application code through functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
• Build and maintain reusable Playwright automation frameworks, utilities, and testing libraries.
• Develop API, UI, database, and cross-browser automated tests.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with developers for timely defect resolution.
• Ensure adequate test coverage, quality metrics, traceability, and release readiness.
• Participate in test planning, test estimation, defect triage, status reporting, and QA governance.
• Support manufacturing business process validation, including workflow, integration, data, and system-level testing.

Senior Tester AI Test Automation / Playwright

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Tester with strong hands-on experience in automation testing, Playwright, API testing, and AI-based test engineering. The candidate will work closely with customers, business teams, and development teams to define testing strategies, automate test scenarios, validate AI-generated code, and ensure high-quality delivery across the SDLC. The ideal candidate should have experience in modern QA engineering practices, automation framework development, CI/CD integration, and testing of enterprise applications, preferably in the manufacturing domain.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience in UI automation, API testing, database testing, and regression testing.
• Exposure to AI-based testing tools or AI-assisted test case/script generation.
• Good understanding of test automation frameworks, reusable libraries, and coding best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Strong defect analysis, debugging, and root cause identification skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodology, and QA processes.
• Ability to work with customers, developers, and cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in the manufacturing domain.
• Knowledge of MES, ERP, production, inventory, quality, or shopfloor-related applications.
• Experience in Appium or mobile automation.
• Experience with performance or security testing basics.
• Exposure to AI-generated code validation or GenAI-based QA practices.
