Job summary

Mphasis is seeking a dedicated Test Engineer - Automation to join our software testing team in Bengaluru. The role centers on building robust automated tests with Playwright, validating functionality and performance across applications, and collaborating with development and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with test automation tools, understand CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to test strategy, planning, and maintenance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright to validate software functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.
• Provide training and support to junior team members on automation testing practices and tools.
