Job summary

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) in Chennai is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright/Selenium. The role requires strong Java skills and expertise in automated testing across Web Services, UI, APIs, mobile apps, and Salesforce.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, acquire client requirements, and drive automation initiatives through CI/CD, while mentoring junior engineers and generating detailed test reports.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software testing experience required.
• At least 5 years in test automation using Java and test tools.
• Experience testing Web Services, Web UI, APIs, Mobile Apps, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks with Playwright and Selenium.
• Acquire client requirements and optimize workflows via automation.
• Implement automated testing to perform maintenance and regression tests.
• Customize default reports and libraries for Playwright.
• Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage test data provisioning and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years in software testing, with at least 5 years focused on test automation using Java and any Test tool
• Skills: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge: Proven experience in testing Web Services, Web UI, and APIs , Mobile App, Salesforce applications

Responsibilities:

• Framework Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Selenium.
• Acquire client requirements; resolve workflow problems through automation optimization..
• Utilize automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Should have experience in customizing default reports and libraries of playwright
• Test Case Automation: Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
• Test Data Management: Implement strategies for managing and provisioning test data efficiently
• Innovation: Works effectively to transform innovative ideas to fruition

Skills:

• Automation Tools: Proficiency in Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber and other automation tools. Good to Have - Mobile app automation knowledge
• Programming Languages: Experience with Java, JavaScript or other functional languages
• Database : Postgres & Snowflakes - Well versed in writing SQL queries
• Cloud : Experience in leveraging core AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda for Test Automation. Familiarity with AWS architecture and best practices
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think of creative solutions to systems-based issues
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
