Job summary

Upstox in Mumbai seeks a Senior Associate - Research & Insights to independently run qualitative and quantitative studies and translate findings into actionable insights. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage data, and help prepare reports and presentations. The role requires 3–4 years of market research experience, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and excellent communication in English and Hindi. Office-based, five days a week.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Market Research experience in a market research agency or company handling both qualitative and quantitative studies.
• Hands-on experience in conducting user interactions / interviews and supporting research projects end-to-end.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PPT is a must.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Hindi (Any other regional language will be a bonus).
• Ability to independently manage research activities and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute qualitative research studies and moderations, identify target audiences, and capture insights.
• Script and coordinate surveys, monitor responses, and ensure data quality.
• Prepare scorecards and trackers; support quantitative data analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and maintain research repositories.

The Role

As a Senior Associate - Research & Insights, the core responsibilities would be around independently executing research studies / projects and supporting the Team in translating research findings into actionable insights. This includes -

Qualitative Research

• Planning and executing qualitative research studies in line with research objectives and discussion guides
• Identifying and reaching out to relevant target audiences and inviting them for research discussions
• Conducting research discussions / moderations with users and stakeholders
• Ensuring quality of user interactions and capturing relevant insights during sessions
• Transcribing and organizing completed user sessions
• Supporting analysis of qualitative data and identifying key themes, patterns and insights
• Supporting preparation of research reports and presentations

Quantitative Research

• Scripting survey questionnaires and creating survey links
• Coordinating survey distribution using CRM tools
• Monitoring survey responses and ensuring data quality
• Preparing scorecards and research trackers
• Supporting quantitative data analysis and report preparation
• Highlighting key findings and trends from research data

Stakeholder & Operational Management

• Interacting with cross-functional teams to gather required inputs such as databases, prototypes, product information, etc.
• Coordinating with stakeholders throughout the research process
• Maintaining a structured repository of research documents and outputs
• Maintaining logs for data requests and research activities
• Collating stakeholder feedback and tracking action steps based on research findings
• Supporting multiple research projects simultaneously and ensuring timely execution
• Other activities, as required

Who You Are

• 3 - 4 years of Market Research experience in a market research agency / company handling both qualitative and quantitative studies
• Hands-on experience in conducting user interactions / interviews and supporting research projects end-to-end
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PPT is a must
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluent in English and Hindi (Any other regional language will be a bonus)

• Fintech / consumer internet background is good to have
