Job summary

About the Role

About the Role Upstox is looking for a Head of Organic Content to own and scale our organic content ecosystem spanning financial news, editorial content, in-house creative production (UpStudio), and SEO oversight. This is a leadership role for someone who can build a content engine that drives trust, engagement, and discovery for Upstox across owned platforms, without relying on paid acquisition

What you'll own:

• Own the content strategy, editorial calendar, and quality bar for market news, explainers, and trending content for traders and investors
• Build and lead a team of writers, editors, and creators; ensure accuracy and compliance with financial content norms
• Lead UpStudio's output, video, short-form, and design-led content across social and owned channels from ideation to publishing
• Build repeatable content formats/franchises that grow organic reach and brand affinity
• Track content performance (traffic, engagement, retention) and continuously iterate based on data
• Partner with Marketing, Brand, Product, and Compliance to align content with business priorities
• Factor keyword and SEO considerations into content planning and structuring, coordinating with the technical SEO team as needed
• Hire, mentor, and manage a lean, high-output content organization

Who you are:

• 8+ years in content/editorial/media roles, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership capacity
• Prior experience in fintech, broking consumer brands preferred
• Strong judgment with content strategy and ability to move fast on trending topics
• Experience managing creative/content production teams (video + written)
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals (content-side, not technical depth required)
• Excellent stakeholder management and team-building skills
• Data-driven approach to content, comfortable with analytics tools
