Job summary

Acuity Analytics in India seeks a hands-on Production Support Engineer to monitor and enhance batch jobs, APIs, and data workflows. You will troubleshoot incidents, optimize SQL Server and .NET services, and collaborate with global teams to maintain operational stability.

You will work with Autosys, REST APIs, and Web services, ensuring SLAs/TATs are met while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of production support experience with batch jobs, services, and applications.
• Strong SQL Server development, stored procedures, transactions, and optimization.
• Proficient in .NET Framework 4.x, C#, Web APIs, HTML5/CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience validating and troubleshooting REST APIs, Web Services, and WCF services.
• Hands-on with API testing/debugging tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Experience managing production incidents and root-cause analysis; strong SOA/Web Services knowledge.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a hands-on, Production support Engineer to help monitor and enhance analytical, data-driven supporting for batch jobs, applications and services. This role spans to monitor APIs, databases, and automated workflows in Autosys. The ideal candidate has strong experience monitoring batch jobs in Autosys and monitor email request from business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, and monitor job dependencies and critical processing paths to ensure timely execution.
• Provide production support, investigate issues, and implement timely resolutions.
• Design and develop sustainable solutions to reduce recurring production incidents and improve operational stability.
• Collaborate effectively with global teams and continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across production and non-production environments.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle for data analysis, issue resolution, and support activities.
• Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring quality deliverables in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Perform quality checks and ensure adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Turnaround Time (TAT) requirements.
• Build strong internal stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration
• Provide regular and timely updates to stakeholders on incidents, risks, progress, and resolution status

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in application production support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining business-critical applications, batch jobs, and platform services.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, including SQL development, stored procedures, transactions, query optimization, and relational database concepts.
• Good understanding of .NET applications built on the .NET Framework (4.x), including C#, Web APIs, HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ECMAScript 6 (ES6).
• Experience in validating and troubleshooting REST APIs, Web Services, and WCF services.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and debugging tools such as Postman and SoapU.
• Proven experience in managing production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing timely issue resolution.
• Familiarity with SOA and Web Service standards, including REST, JSON, SOAP, WSDL, and WS-I Basic Profile.
• Experience supporting web applications hosted on IIS (Internet Information Services).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations, coordinate across technology and business teams, and provide status and operational reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational excellence.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with market and reference data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar industry vendors
• Experience with enterprise job scheduling and workload automation tools such as AutoSys
• Exposure to investment management, asset management, or capital markets domains
