Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support Analyst to join our Engineering team in Pune. The role focuses on providing end-to-end production support for BI platforms (Jasper primary, then BO, Tableau, Power BI), handling incidents, automation, and platform migrations.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, shift-flexible, and capable of coordinating across infra, DBA, and application teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive.
• Willingness to work in shifts and weekend/holidays.
• Experience in application support, infra patching, upgrades, and releases.
• Proactively monitor application health and handle alerts/incidents.
• Provide quick support for escalated tickets and liaise with business/tech leads.
• Coordinate with teams and raise support tickets; analyze root cause for resolution.
• Produce ad hoc reports from database and provide transaction stats to senior management.
• Support infrastructure and interfacing applications changes.
• On-call support on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

Job description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support Analyst to join our Engineering team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to learn and take on challenging opportunities
• Willingness to work in shifts and weekend/holidays
• Application Support, support maintenance changes (Infrastructure patching and upgrades), application releases / deployments and enterprise events ( Disaster Recovery drills , Data Center rotations ).
• Proactively monitor applications health, alerts/incidents from all systems and software changes that affect applications/business users and take appropriate action.
• Provide quick support for escalated incident tickets and act as liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner.
• Coordinate with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes.
• Produce Ad hoc Reports for business users from database and periodic updates on the transaction volume statistics to senior management.
• Support Infrastructure and Interfacing applications changes.
• Provide on-call support on rotational basis.
  

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Drive environment stability across QA, UAT, and Production
• End-to-end production support for BI platforms primarily focusing on Jasper, secondary tools: Business Objects, Tableau and Power BI
• Handle incident triage, RCA, and resolution using monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudProber, Moogsoft)
• Collaborate with infra, DBA, and app teams for end-to-end issue resolution
• Support platform migrations, decommissioning, and modernization initiatives using AI capabilities
• Strong SRE mindset with focus on availability, reliability, and observability
• Exposure to AIOps / AI-driven automation with hands onAI Tool like Windsurf or another tool
• Expertise in scripting (Python / Shell / CI/CD pipelines/GitLab)
• Automate and optimize deployment, release, and RFC processes
• Automation of monitoring, recovery, deployment validation, and operational workflows whenever possible.
