Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a procurement specialist to identify suppliers for EV components, source materials, and negotiate terms, collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet project requirements.

You will manage supplier relationships, conduct capability audits, and monitor market trends to optimize cost and quality while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical / automobile engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably EV/automotive.
• Strong understanding of EV components, materials, and technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with global supply chains, logistics, and import/export regulations.
• Knowledge of sustainability and green sourcing practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for EV components (batteries, motors, controllers, charging systems, wiring harnesses, structural parts).
• Source raw materials and components based on project requirements, specifications, and budget constraints.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers for cost-effective procurement.
• Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Conduct audits and assessments of supplier capabilities, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and production to translate needs into procurement plans.
• Evaluate supplier technical documents for compliance with specs and standards.
• Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials with required quality via follow-ups and coordination.
• Maintain records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
• Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
