Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Gurgaon team. The role will be based in Gurgaon and may require travel and relocation to Mumbai or Bengaluru as the capability center expands. You will work on high‑impact projects across A&M’s global offices, across the entire project life cycle, including detailed market analysis, growth strategy development, operational improvement implementation, and financial performance enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Develop / Deliver CRG Solutions
- Actively contribute to developing and delivering solutions within Consumer Products (Food & Beverage, Personal Care, Household Goods, Health & Wellness, Electronics, etc.) and Retail (Grocery, Apparel, Department Stores/General Merchandise, E‑Commerce, B2B Retail, etc.) domains.
- Own medium to complex work‐streams with support from supervisors.
- Perform benchmarking across relevant CRG financial and operational metrics to identify potential underperformance.
- Develop expertise on various Consumer Products and Retail industry sub‑sectors or clients to enhance overall project insights and strategies.
- Work with analytical tools, building expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Own Stakeholder Relationships
- Interpret, understand and break down client data, requirements, and project goals across various scenarios and adapt accordingly.
- Communicate information, insights, and analysis impacts to clients and internal teams.
- Manage important work streams and own key business processes to solve client problems.
- Lead meetings with senior CRG clients, A&M Managing Directors, and third parties about your work streams.
- Lead pitch preparation with senior staff and support business development and marketing efforts.
- Prioritization and Growth
- Identify project needs and milestones to manage and accomplish assigned work by agreed deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to create and deliver client outputs.
- Contribute to Office Management
- Assist with office management roles such as trainings, marketing, and recruitment.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a tier‑1 college with 3‑8 years of experience within a leading strategy/analytics/operational consulting firm, and at least 5 years of experience working with CRG clients.
- Possess a strong understanding of the Consumer Products and Retail industry, with keen insights into sector data and metrics across Digital, Brand Assessment, Pricing, Merchandising, G&A, Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Store Operations, and more.
- Guide and mentor Analysts and Associates during projects and business development work.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, business acumen, writing, research, and presentation‑building skills; meticulous attention to detail and commitment to zero‑defect deliverables.
- Excel modelling skills—structure data within Excel to support timely decision making with clients.
- PowerPoint skills—prepare defect‑free, high‑quality client presentations.
- Experience with Alteryx or Python for data analysis, and Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
- A strong team player with demonstrated ability to motivate team members.
- Ability to prioritize—especially in highly pressured situations.
- High integrity, capable of delivering messages even when difficult.
