Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is expanding its Travel & Hospitality group in Gurgaon/Bangalore, seeking a Senior Associate to join a high‑impact team delivering market analysis, growth strategy, and operational improvement for global clients.

You will lead client delivery, mentor analysts, coordinate cross‑border engagements, and contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, pitches, and client relationship efforts.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in top-tier consulting / advisory firms or relevant industry roles.
• Deep functional and industry expertise in at least one THL sub-sector (Hotels, Restaurant, Real Estate, Airlines, Gaming, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills for data structuring, analysis, and decision support.
• Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience creating clear, well-structured, executive-ready presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Our Business Transformation practice is rapidly expanding in the GCC, and we are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Gurgaon/Bangalore team. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your business insight, analytical skills, and problem‑solving abilities as part of a hands‑on, high‑impact team. You will work on projects across A&M’s global offices, covering the full project lifecycle, including market analysis, growth strategy development, operational improvement, and financial performance enhancement, to deliver measurable results for our clients.

How You Will Contribute

As a member of the Travel & Hospitality team, you will play a senior role in client delivery, team leadership, and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Delivery
• Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations; show ability to resolve discrete issues and/or drive consensus
• Support in the development and delivery of THL solutions, across Hotels, Restaurant, Real Estate, Airlines, Gaming, etc.
• Structure complex problem statements and translate ambiguous client issues into actionable workplans
• Proficient in research and analysis, and able to provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published
• Synthesize analytical outputs into executive‑ready insights and recommendations
• Ensure timely, high quality, zero‑defect research, analysis, output and possess acumen to solve open‑ended problems
• First‑level team management responsibility, which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts and conducting performance / feedback discussions
• Coordinate cross‑functional and cross‑border teams to meet deadlines and project objectives
• Client Engagement & Practice growth
• Effectively manage client and team meetings, and deliver effective presentations to the clients and A&M case teams
• Provide content thought leadership & may manage simple cases independently
• Actively contribute to the growth THL practice through pitch preparation, marketing and client relationship efforts, and new product / tool development

Qualifications

• Deep functional and industry expertise in at least one THL sub‑sector (Hotels, Restaurant, Real Estate, Airlines, Gaming, etc.), with the ability to rapidly apply insights across adjacent sectors
• Advanced Excel skills for data structuring, analysis, and decision support
• Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience creating clear, well‑structured, defect‑free executive‑ready presentations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality deliverables
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments
• Hands‑on experience with Alteryx, Python, Power BI, or Tableau for data analysis and visualization is a plus
• High standards of professional integrity, judgment, and discretion, with the confidence to challenge clients constructively and communicate difficult messages clearly
• A strong team player and demonstrated ability to motivate team members
