Job summary

Void & Mass Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, seeks an experienced Technical Leader to drive architectural drawing packages (Tender, GFC) and coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior consultants for clash resolution.

You will mentor junior architects, review drawings, and ensure compliance with drafting standards, codes, and quality expectations. A strong focus on timely delivery, site support, and clear client communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of drawing packages (Tender, GFC) under guidance of Design Head.
• Review drawings prepared by junior architects and correct errors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on design detailing, materials, and drafting standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external consultants (Structural, MEP, Interior) to resolve clashes.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (General & SOP-Specific):

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the preparation and development of drawing packages (Tender, GFC) under the guidance of the Senior Architect/Design Head.
• Review, check, and correct drawings prepared by Assistant Architects and Jr. Assistant Architects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members regarding design detailing, material, construction methodologies, and drafting standards.
• Coordinate with all internal and external consultants (Structural, MEP, Interior) to resolve technical conflicts and clashes.

Project Coordination:

• Manage and adhere to project schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct and lead consultant coordination meetings, preparing and circulating Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
• Manage client approval comments, ensuring they are implemented and communicated effectively.
• Take overall responsibility for the timely execution of assigned projects and ensure quality checking .

Drawing & QA/QC:

• Review and approve drawings for internal issue .
• Ensure the final drawing set complies with all SOP Drawing Standards , Building Codes (NBC, KMC/NKDA), and regulations.
• Act as the primary checker in the Quality Control process for Working/GFC/Tender drawings and enforce a zero-error drawing policy.
• Ensure all QA/QC checklists and registers are maintained and signed off.

Client & Communication:

• Lead technical discussions with clients.
• Ensure all client communications adhere to professional email etiquette and reply within 24 hours.
• Escalate sensitive client matters or scope changes to the Senior Architect/Design Head/MD as per the Escalation Matrix

Site & Documentation:

• Oversee site inspections conducted by junior team members and verify execution against drawings.
• Ensure the preparation of comprehensive Site Visit Reports and Non-Compliance/Deviation Notices.
• Ensure all project documentation, including transmittals, approvals, and certificates, are archived
