Job summary

Renowned Design Studio in India seeks an experienced Architect to develop concept layouts and design proposals for workshops, showrooms, and related commercial spaces. You will translate requirements into practical, aesthetically strong layouts, review GFC drawings, and coordinate with MEP engineers to ensure integrated architectural and MEP needs.

The role includes guiding junior architects and ensuring timely, quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept layouts and design proposals for workshops, showrooms, and related commercial spaces.
• Translate project requirements into practical, functional, and aesthetically strong architectural layouts.
• Review and coordinate GFC (Good for Construction) drawings prepared by junior architects.
• Check architectural and coordination drawings, including: RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plans).
• Plumbing layouts and coordination.
• Electrical/raceway looping and routing.
• Other relevant architectural and MEP interfaces.
• Identify design clashes, technical issues, and coordination gaps before construction.
• Design & Coordinate closely with MEP consultants/engineers to ensure architectural and MEP requirements are properly integrated.
• Guide and review the work of junior architects, providing technical direction and design feedback.
• Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate, coordinated, and issued as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors whenever required.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and site coordination.
• Maintain project quality, timelines, and design standards from concept through execution.
