Senior Architect – Modular Construction & DFMA Systems

Modulus Housing is building the future of construction technology, integrating modular building systems with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles. We seek a senior architect to lead the design and development of modular, scalable building solutions.

Role Overview: Lead design and development of modular building systems; translate client aspirations into architectural solutions aligned with DFMA; collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and EPC teams; ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, and ready for rapid deployment.

Responsibilities

• Client‑centric design: engage clients to understand functional, aesthetic, contextual needs; translate requirements into modular architectural solutions aligned with DFMA and company principles.
• Systemized design development: formulate architectural strategies balancing creativity with engineering logic; ensure designs are modular, repeatable, and compliant with manufacturing capabilities.
• DFMA & constructability leadership: integrate DFMA principles; apply poka‑yoke strategies; drive standardisation and optimisation for scalability without compromising design integrity.
• Shop drawing & documentation excellence: lead production of detailed shop drawings, modular layouts, and fabrication‑ready documents; collaborate with engineering and site teams; partner with R&D on new modular typologies, materials, and sustainable design strategies; participate in prototyping and testing.
• Ownership & leadership: own design outcomes; champion best practices across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Architecture.
• 5+ years of building design experience, 2+ years in modular, prefab, or DFMA‑based construction systems preferred.
• Strong design thinking mindset, balancing aesthetics, manufacturability, and cost.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and visualisation tools.
