Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Architect to lead design of state-of-the-art industrial facilities. The role involves guiding design teams, coordinating with multi-disciplinary groups, and ensuring timely project delivery. Travel to the US may be required.

Responsibilities include overseeing materials, systems selection, and finalizing bid documents, with a requirement for Revit proficiency and a strong track record in large-scale manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required.
  • 12–15 years of experience in the design and delivery of large-scale manufacturing or industrial facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working knowledge of Revit is required.

SSOE is looking to hire a Senior Architect to join our team, allowing the selected individual the opportunity to participate in the design of state‑of‑the‑art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading companies.

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for leading projects and working with other contributing mid‑senior level Architects and design teams to create exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation and selection of building materials, building systems, and project design methods.
  • Devises new approaches to problems encountered and develops substantial adaptations and modifications to standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Independently performs assignments with instructions as to general results expected; exercises sound judgment to resolve problems but may receive architectural guidance on unusual or complex facility designs; solicits the approval of department/section manager and project architect for proposed design solutions.
  • Performs specific phases of work on major projects or total architectural responsibility on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
  • Oversees the drafting effort on a project and coordinates this effort with other disciplines on the same project and, at times, may be responsible for checking a portion of all the completed drawings.
  • Has knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, OSHA compliance requirements, a working knowledge of site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering systems, methods, and general details.
  • Leads client meetings (typically in US time‑zones) to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project.
  • Uses knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, building materials, and construction techniques to finalize project documents for bidding and construction purposes.
  • Responsible for final content of architectural project specification.
  • May participate in client contact and business development activities.Assists in integration of all disciplines of the project(s).
  • Travel may be required to the US.
