Job summary

Melhor Group in Goa seeks a highly creative Architect to take ownership of premium hospitality and real estate projects from concept development to construction documentation and design coordination.

You will lead exterior and interior design development, prepare concept presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and ensure the design intent is carried through every stage while coordinating with structural and MEP consultants and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the COA is preferred.
• 6–10 years of architectural design experience.
• Experience on hospitality, luxury residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Independently handled projects from concept design through construction documentation.
• Strong coordination with consultants and stakeholders.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication and client presentation skills.

We are looking for a highly creative and execution-focused Architect who can take ownership of premium hospitality and real estate projects in Goa, from concept development to construction documentation and design coordination.

You will be responsible for transforming ideas into buildable, high-quality architectural solutions while ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

If you cannot lead design development, coordinate consultants, manage client expectations, prepare accurate documentation, and drive projects from concept to execution — this role is not for you.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Architectural Design Concept Development

• Develop architectural concepts aligned with project objectives, client requirements, and company vision
• Lead exterior and interior design development for hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects
• Prepare concept presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and design narratives
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically strong, and commercially viable
• Stay updated with contemporary design trends, materials, and industry best practices

Design Development Documentation

• Convert concepts into detailed design solutions ready for execution
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, details, and construction documentation
• Develop comprehensive GFC (Good for Construction) drawing packages
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all project documentation
• Maintain design intent throughout all stages of project development

Coordination Project Integration

• Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, landscape consultants, and other stakeholders
• Resolve design and technical conflicts proactively before construction
• Ensure smooth integration between architectural, structural, and MEP requirements
• Work closely with project managers to align design timelines with project schedules
• Support site teams with design clarifications and technical guidance during execution

Client Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with clients to understand project goals, functional requirements, and design aspirations
• Present design concepts, layouts, and solutions confidently to clients and stakeholders
• Manage client feedback and incorporate revisions while maintaining design integrity
• Participate in review meetings and ensure timely closure of design-related issues
• Build strong professional relationships with consultants, contractors, and project teams

Quality Control Design Excellence

• Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and technical documentation
• Conduct design reviews to ensure quality, functionality, and compliance
• Maintain high standards of detailing, material selection, and space planning
• Ensure all deliverables meet company quality benchmarks
• Drive innovation while maintaining practicality and buildability

Compliance Sustainability

• Ensure designs comply with local building regulations, statutory approvals, and industry standards
• Integrate sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices wherever feasible
• Evaluate new materials, technologies, and construction methodologies
• Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and hospitality design standards

Who Should Apply

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD

• Excellent understanding of construction documentation and GFC preparation
• Strong consultant coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Good knowledge of contemporary design trends, materials, and sustainable architecture
• Strong communication, reporting, and professional email drafting skills

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from a recognized institution
• Additional certifications in Project Management, LEED, PMP, BPI, EDAC, or related disciplines will be an advantage
• Registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) preferred
