Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a Senior Apigee Developer to join our Pan India hybrid team. You will be responsible for API design, development, and production support across the Apigee Edge/X stack, with emphasis on security, testing, and CI/CD automation.

The role requires hands-on experience with Apigee Edge/X, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (GCP/Azure). You will collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA to ensure high-quality API solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge/X API proxies and related components.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, and API security.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP/Azure) and containerization.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/AKS and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Apigee Edge/X proxies, endpoints, and shared flows.
• Implement policies for security, traffic management, mediation, and error handling.
• Manage API configurations, environments, virtual hosts, target servers, and KVMs.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for API deployment and environment promotion.
• Perform API testing with Postman, SoapUI, and cURL.
• Participate in Apigee Edge to Apigee X migration and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor API performance, analyze logs, perform RCA and resolve production issues.
• Work with GCP, Azure, Azure DevOps, and IaC concepts.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Maintain technical documentation for API designs and configurations.

We are looking for an experienced Apigee Developer to join our team and work as an SME across the Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid stack, API development, integration, CI/CD, cloud, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Apigee Edge/X API proxies, target endpoints, and shared flows.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, HTTP/S, JSON, XML, OAuth, and API security.
  
• Experience with Apigee policies, target servers, KVMs, virtual hosts, and shared flows.
  
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
  
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  
• Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, RCA, and production-support skills.
  
• Knowledge of GCP, Azure, microservices, and containerization.
  
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk/Grafana is an advantage.
  
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/AKS, API Hub, advanced API security, and governance is a plus.
  
• Java knowledge for custom Apigee policies such as ServiceCallout/JavaCallout is a plus.
  
• Apigee certification is an added advantage.
