Job summary

SIDGS is seeking a Lead Apigee to design, build, and secure APIs at scale from Hyderabad. You will drive API strategy, governance, and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable API solutions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid, strong Java skills for custom policy development, and a deep understanding of API security and governance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X and Hybrid.
• Expertise in API security (OAuth, JWT, API key validation, threat protection).
• Proficiency in Java for custom policy development.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Knowledge of API proxies, traffic management, caching and mediation policies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Hybrid.
• Implement API security policies including OAuth, JWT, API key validation, and threat protection.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to design RESTful APIs following best practices.
• Develop custom policies using Java, JavaScript, and Python where required.
• Ensure governance, scalability, and performance optimization for APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API proxies, authentication, and performance.
• Work with DevOps to integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical expertise in API design patterns, security, and lifecycle management.
