Job summary

ECS | Enterprise Change Specialists is seeking a skilled Apigee/API Management professional in Hyderabad, India to lead API programs. You will design and implement API proxies (Edge/X), build reusable shared flows for security and logging, and mentor delivery teams through multi-phase projects.

You will drive requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure robust RESTful APIs and platform integrations while leveraging Postman, Git, and Jenkins to maintain quality and pace.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in API Management with Apigee Edge, Apigee X platform.
• Strong business and technical experience in requirements gathering including designing, development, implementation and exception handling strategies.
• Experience designing API proxies including API products, portals, apps, admin (KVM, caches, flow hooks, TLS keystore update, users and roles creation, virtual hosts setup).
• Experience developing and maintaining API proxies based on consumer needs and enhancing or maintaining existing APIs.
• Experience with building reusable shared flows for security, transformation, logging & erroring and Google Stackdriver knowledge.
• Knowledge of software development processes and supporting tools for testing & troubleshooting APIs – Postman.
• Knowledge and experience in developing/good understanding of Rest APIs/Restful Web services.
• Conduct requirements gathering workshops and lead the solution design process
• Lead technical teams through complex, multi-phased delivery projects and provide hands-on delivery guidance
• Identify on-going risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures.
• Mentor and train the internal team on design and architecture best practices
• Experience with Code, Configuration and Build management tools such as GIT and Jenkins is preferred.
