Job summary

Exemplar Luxury Group is seeking a Senior Analyst, QA - POS with 5+ years of experience to lead end-to-end testing across POS devices, payment terminals, and store systems. You will mentor the QA team and drive testing strategies in collaboration with product and engineering.

This role focuses on ensuring release readiness, API integrations, and data validation via SQL. You will participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to quality metrics and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience in retail or POS testing.
• Proven ability to lead QA on complex POS projects.
• Experience with test strategies and defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional, integration, and regression tests across POS machines and store systems.
• Mentor junior QA teammates and review test plans, cases, and execution logs.
• Define test strategies, identify risks, and drive defect resolution with developers and vendors.
• Map business requirements and store workflows to test cases and execution matrices.
• Validate API integrations, database updates, logs, and queues supporting POS transactions.
• Join daily stand-ups and report release readiness and quality metrics to leadership.
• Improve testing workflows and tools to boost QA efficiency.

Job description

Who You Are:

• A self-driven, proactive QA professional with 5+ years of experience preferably in POS testing.
• Experienced or open to learn testing physical POS terminals, payment peripherals (card readers, receipt printers, barcode scanners), and integrated payment gateways etc.
• A strong technical leader who naturally takes ownership of projects, solves complex problems, and guides team members without needing step-by-step direction.
• Passionate about quality, store systems, and mentoring junior QA analysts to elevate overall team performance.
• An effective communicator capable of working seamlessly with cross-functional store systems, product, and engineering teams.

As the Senior Analyst, QA - POS You Will:

• Lead end-to-end functional, integration, and regression testing across various POS machines,payment terminals, and store systems.
• Mentor junior QA team members, provide technical guidance, and systematically review theirtest plans, test cases, and execution logs.
• Take proactive leadership in defining test strategies, identifying project risks, and driving defectresolution with developers and vendors.
• Map complex business requirements and store workflows to comprehensive test cases,scenarios, and execution matrices.
• Validate API integrations, database updates, log files, and message queues supporting front-end POS transactions.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, create test execution status reports for leadership, and maintainclear visibility into release readiness and quality metrics.
• Continuously evaluate and refine testing workflows, tools, and practices to identify opportunitiesfor process improvement and optimize QA efficiency.

You Also Have:

• Deep understanding of Retail Store Operations, Omnichannel retail workflows (BOPIS, storereturns, inventory sync), and POS ecosystem architecture.
• Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, REST/SOAP) and SQL queries for backend datavalidation.
• Experience with QA management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence ,TestRail,Zephyr etc
• Good to Have: Automation testing experience using any POS-compatible automation tools.
