Job summary

Lennox International is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for HVAC products, including control panels, wiring diagrams, and schematics. You will create detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, and develop control strategies for AHUs, Chillers, Rooftop Units.

Collaborate with mechanical and software teams, select components, ensure compliance with UL/CE/IEC/NEC standards, and support prototype testing, validation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3–4 years of related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components (Chillers, AHUs, HVAC controls).
• Experience in electrical design and schematic development.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.).
• Good understanding of control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and sensors.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Understanding of panel design and wiring practices.
• Exposure to Digital Twin / system modeling is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Selection of electrical components such as sensors, PLCs, relays, drives, and control devices
• Ensure designs comply with international standards (UL, CE, IEC, NEC)
• Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams for integrated product development
• Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design improvements
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports
