Job summary

Persistent Systems seeks an experienced Senior AI Telecom QA Engineer to validate ML-driven telecom analytics platforms, data pipelines, and network intelligence solutions. You will build scalable automation frameworks for ML validation, API testing, and data quality across 2G–5G environments.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and DevOps to ensure end-to-end quality, reliability, and accuracy of ML-driven systems in a hybrid work setting.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Telecom QA Engineer to validate AI/ML-driven telecom analytics platforms, data pipelines, and network intelligence solutions. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks for validating machine learning models, telecom analytics workflows, network KPIs, alarms, voice services, SIP signaling, and data quality across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QA automation, machine learning validation, API testing, telecom analytics, and data quality assurance. This is an automation-first role where the primary responsibility is to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of ML-driven systems through automated testing, data validation, API verification, and telecom domain analytics.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and regression suites for ML, analytics, and telecom data validation workflows.
• Validate machine learning model outputs, prediction accuracy, classification and regression results, scoring behavior, and business-rule compliance.
• Build automated validation frameworks for data preprocessing, feature engineering, data transformation, duplicate detection, and ingestion consistency.
• Validate telecom datasets and workflows across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network technologies.
• Perform testing of telecom KPIs, alarms, QoS/QoE metrics, call records, session records, service assurance outputs, dashboards, and operational reports.
• Develop and maintain Python and PyTest-based automation suites for API testing, data validation, and regression coverage.
• Perform REST API validation using Postman and Python, including schema validation, response verification, data integrity checks, and error handling.
• Implement smoke, integration, system, regression, and release validation suites supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
• Validate SQL-based analytical outputs across structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Support exploratory testing, UAT activities, release certification, and edge-case validation when required.
• Validate Excel-based calculations, formulas, transformations, and business logic used within analytics workflows.
• Integrate automated validation frameworks with Git, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD ecosystems.
• Log, track, reproduce, prioritize, and verify defects using Jira and defect management processes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Developers, Product Teams, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality.
• Prepare automation strategies, test plans, validation reports, quality metrics, and defect summaries.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production incidents impacting telecom analytics, ML models, and network intelligence platforms.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 6 to 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with significant focus on automation and data-driven testing.
• Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks for analytics, machine learning, and data-intensive applications.
• Strong telecom domain experience across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
• In-depth understanding of SIP signaling, call flows, telecom protocols, voice services, and service assurance platforms.
• Experience validating telecom KPIs, network performance metrics, subscriber analytics, QoS/QoE measurements, alarms, and operational reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model validation techniques, and AI-driven application testing.
• Experience validating feature engineering pipelines, data transformations, model outputs, and prediction results.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, Pandas, and NumPy for data verification and analytical validation.
• Experience validating dashboards, reporting platforms, trend analysis, anomaly detection outputs, and time-series analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and automation development.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest and automated test execution frameworks.
• Expertise in REST API testing and validation using Postman and automation frameworks.
• Experience creating automated validation suites for APIs, data platforms, analytics services, and ML workflows.
• Experience with Git, Docker, Linux, Jira, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Understanding of MLOps processes and model lifecycle validation.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to independently investigate complex ML, telecom, and data-quality issues.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
