Persistent is seeking an experienced EMS QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru. The role focuses on automating tests using Python and Selenium, performing exhaustive testing of EMS applications, and ensuring telecom network management reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design test plans, and contribute to continuous quality improvements in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of software testing and test automation experience, strong debugging

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and manual testing of EMS applications and platforms.
• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Execute test scenarios and validate behavior across environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and perform root cause analysis of issues.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure product quality.

• Participate in release validation activities and production readiness assessments.

• Strong hands‑on experience in Python automation development.
• Extensive experience working with Selenium automation frameworks.
• Proven experience in EMS (Element Management System) testing.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and testing best practices.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and bug‑tracking processes.
• Experience working with telecom network management systems and operations environments.
• Knowledge of 4G/5G technologies and telecom domain concepts.
• Familiarity with automation framework design, maintenance, and optimization.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum‑based environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
