Persistent is seeking an experienced EMS QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes automation and manual testing using Python and Selenium for telecom EMS applications within enterprise-grade network management systems.

You will design, develop, and maintain test scripts, execute diverse tests, analyze requirements, document defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure product quality and production readiness in a hybrid

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced EMS QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation and manual testing with hands‑on experience in Python, Selenium, and telecom EMS applications. This role involves validating enterprise‑grade network management systems, ensuring software quality, automating test processes, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver reliable solutions for telecom environments.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and manual testing of EMS applications and platforms.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute test scenarios and validate application behavior across multiple environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and perform root cause analysis of test issues.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure product quality.
• Validate EMS functionalities related to network management and telecom operations.
• Participate in release validation activities and production readiness assessments.
• Develop and maintain test data, test reports, and quality metrics documentation.
• Ensure compliance with software quality standards, processes, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for test automation and quality engineering processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, test reviews, and defect triage meetings.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 4-6 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, and Test Automation.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Python automation development.
• Extensive experience working with Selenium automation frameworks.
• Proven experience in EMS (Element Management System) testing.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and testing best practices.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and bug‑tracking processes.
• Experience working with telecom network management systems and operations environments.
• Knowledge of 4G/5G technologies and telecom domain concepts.
• Familiarity with automation framework design, maintenance, and optimization.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum‑based environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing activities effectively.
