Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking a Senior Agency Manager in Kolkata to drive agency recruitment, activation, and performance. The role focuses on onboarding agents, achieving premium targets, and reducing downtimes while mentoring the sales force.

The candidate will coordinate with underwriting, operations, claims, and finance to ensure smooth policy issuance and timely commission payments, while expanding the agent network across our East region.

Qualifications

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll for becoming agents.
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium in stipulated time.
• Ensure familiarization of the company’s products, policies and sales processes to the agents.
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business.
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.

Responsibilities

• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups and strengthening of relationships with agents.
• Ensure constant updating of agent’s knowledge on new products and underwriting policies.
• Troubleshooting with Underwriting, Branch Operations, Claims, and Finance teams for timely processes including policy issuance and agent commissions.
