Job summary

Magicbid Global is seeking a senior ad tech engineer to own our end-to-end publisher monetization stack. You will manage Prebid.js wrappers, OpenRTB flows, GAM 360 configurations, and yield optimization across display, video, and app surfaces.

You will ship full-stack solutions with TypeScript/JavaScript on the front end and Node.js on the back end, operate our Cloudflare edge layer, and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL queries while ensuring robust production systems.

Qualifications

• Deep working knowledge of GPT (Google Publisher Tag), both implementation and debugging.
• Deep working knowledge of VAST and VPAID, for implementation and debugging.
• Real production Prebid.js experience.
• OpenRTB 2.5/2.6 understanding and how SSPs, DSPs talk to each other.
• GAM API hands-on experience.
• Comfort across ad formats (display, native, video, out-of-page).
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript with browser debugging skills.
• Node.js backend development.
• MySQL and PostgreSQL with genuine query optimization experience.
• Cloudflare or similar CDN in production; Linux server proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our Prebid.js wrapper: adapter integrations, timeout tuning, refresh logic, bid latency.
• Work with OpenRTB request/response flows; read bid streams and diagnose issues.
• Manage Google Open Bidding and GAM 360 configurations, line items, keys, UPR floors, yield groups.
• Implement and debug ad tags across display, video, and high-impact formats.
• Automate reporting via Google Ad Manager API and Google Analytics API.
• Ship full-stack: TypeScript/JavaScript front-end, Node.js back-end.
• Serve ad scripts through Cloudflare: Workers, caching, edge config.
• Own MySQL and PostgreSQL databases: schema design, slow query tuning, indexing.
• Handle server setup and DNS: Nginx, SSL, subdomain routing, CNAME/TXT, ads.txt hosting.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

We run publisher monetization at scale. Header bidding wrappers, Google Ad Manager setups, Open Bidding yield, floor logic, and the reporting stack behind it. We need someone who can own that end to end, not just ship features on top of it.

You will be the person who knows why a bid did not win, and can prove it with data.

What you will be doing?

• Build and maintain our Prebid.js wrapper: adapter integrations, timeout tuning, refresh logic, bid latency
• Work with OpenRTB request and response flows. Read a bid stream and tell us what is wrong with it
• Manage Google Open Bidding and GAM 360, including line items, key-values, UPR floors, and yield groups
• Implement and debug ad tags across display, video, and high-impact formats
• Automate reporting through the Google Ad Manager API and Google Analytics API
• Ship full-stack: TypeScript and JavaScript on the front, Node on the back
• Serve our ad scripts through Cloudflare. Workers, cache rules, edge config
• Own our MySQL and Postgres databases: schema design, slow query hunting, indexing, partitioning
• Handle server setup and DNS. Nginx, SSL, subdomain routing, CNAME and TXT records, ads.txt hosting

Preferred candidate profile:

• Deep working knowledge of GPT (Google Publisher Tag), both implementation and debugging. This is core to the role and we will test it in detail
• Deep working knowledge of VAST and VPAID, again on both implementation and debugging
• Real production Prebid.js experience. Not "I read the docs"
• OpenRTB 2.5 or 2.6, and how SSPs, DSPs, and exchanges actually talk to each other
• Google Ad Manager hands-on, including the GAM API
• Comfort across ad formats and their quirks: display, native, video, out-of-page, and app or AMP surfaces
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript, with real browser debugging skill
• Node.js backend
• MySQL and PostgreSQL with genuine query optimization experience. If your answer to a slow page is "add more RAM", this is not the role
• Cloudflare or a similar CDN in productionComfort on a Linux server without a control panel

Nice to have:

• IMA SDK or GMA SDK work
• ads.txt, sellers.json, Secure Signals, Publisher Provided Signals
• MCM or multi-publisher account structures
• Anything you have built around IVT detection or traffic quality

Who this role suits:

Someone who has been on the publisher or SSP side and got tired of being handed monetization problems they could not fix in code. Ad tech depth matters more to us than years on a CV.
