Job summary

Beratung Consultants is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee the finance function with a strong focus on project-wise reporting and profitability. You will manage P&L, budgets, forecasting and cost control, while supporting management decisions across domestic and international operations.

Role & responsibilities

Manage the overall finance function, with a strong focus on project-wise financial reporting, monthly P&L, profitability analysis, budgeting and financial controls. Ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost management and timely financial insights to support management decisions across domestic and international operations.

• Project Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly project-wise P&L statements, tracking revenue, direct costs, allocated overheads, gross margins and overall project profitability.
• Project Accounting: Monitor project budgets, actual expenditure, committed costs, manpower expenses, subcontractor costs, billing milestones and estimated costs to complete.
• International Accounting, Project Finance & Compliance: Manage and review accounting and financial reporting for international entities across regions including the UAE, Malaysia, KSA, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Europe, and Africa. Oversee multi-currency transactions, intercompany accounting, and reconciliations, while proactively tracking upcoming international projects, assessing country-specific financial, taxation, and regulatory requirements, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, statutory filings, employment regulations, and applicable laws. Coordinate with local consultants and advisors to ensure financial readiness and regulatory compliance before project commencement.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting, revenue forecasting and project profitability projections; identify cost overruns, margin erosion and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Revenue & Receivables: Monitor invoicing, unbilled revenue, outstanding receivables, collection timelines and working capital to ensure timely revenue realisation and cash flow management.
• Financial Control & Compliance: Oversee monthly and annual financial closing, financial statements, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls and audit coordination.
• Commercial Financial Analysis: Review project contracts, purchase orders, billing terms and cost estimates to assess financial implications and protect project margins.
• Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead the finance team and coordinate with project managers, HR, operations, procurement, auditors and senior management to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
• MIS & Management Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, management dashboards, budget-versus-actual analysis and variance reports, highlighting key financial risks and corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

Software Skills: ZOHO Books , Advanced MS Excel skills, experience with ERP/accounting systems and proven team management capabilities.

Experience: Graduate / CA preferred, with 1015 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
