Job summary

Presidio Engineering Consultants Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks an experienced Finance leader to head financial operations, oversee general ledger, P&L analysis, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic corporate environment. The role reports to MD and leads a finance team, driving cash flow optimization and annual budget processes.

The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years in corporate accounting or auditing, with 3+ years in a managerial role, GST/tax knowledge, and proficiency with Tally Prime;

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial planning, or auditing.
• At least 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role, directly leading a team of accountants or financial analysts.
• Prior experience with contract/trading organisations and strong GST/corporate tax knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with statutory compliance and enterprise-level software such as Tally Prime.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations, manage general ledger and P&L analysis, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise accounting or finance teams.
• Report to the Managing Director and handle all accounting and financial activities.
• Own P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly/quarterly book closures, and variance reporting.
• Manage full-cycle accounting, AP, AR, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
• Support annual budget creation, cash flow optimization, and long-term financial forecasting.
• Oversee statutory audits, tax filings (GST, corporate tax, etc.), internal controls, and regulatory adherence.
• Handle daily banking operations, credit controls, and negotiations with financial institutions.

• 7. Handle daily banking operations, credit controls, and negotiations with financial institutions

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA Finance)
• Minimum 8 to 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial planning, or auditing.
• At least 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role, directly leading a team of accountants or financial analysts
• Prior ​experience working with or managing relationships with contract / trading organisation
• Direct hands-on experience managing corporate tax filings, GST/VAT regulations, transfer pricing, and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in enterprise-level software like Tally Prime
