Job summary

Baba Quartz is seeking an experienced Senior Chartered Accountant to lead financial operations, statutory compliance, taxation, and reporting. The candidate should have deep expertise in export-import finance, equity funding, and IPO readiness, with strategic financial planning at the core.

You will manage audits, financial statements, MIS reporting, and banking relationships while guiding the finance team to ensure accuracy, transparency, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• CA with 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in export-import finance and foreign trade transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proven expertise in finalization of Balance Sheets and financial statements.
• Experience in equity financing, fundraising, and capital structuring.
• Knowledge of IPO processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, working capital, and financial controls.
• Manage export-import transactions, foreign exchange, LC, bank guarantees, and export-related compliance.
• Ensure GST returns, reconciliations, ITC management, GST audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Handle income tax returns, tax planning, TDS compliance, tax audits, and coordination with authorities.
• Finalize Balance Sheets, P&L, schedules, and other financial statements.
• Manage equity funding, capital structuring, investor coordination, and due diligence.
• Oversee IPO processes, listing requirements, regulatory compliance, and due diligence.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and other audits and close audit observations.
• Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, profitability analysis, and management reports for leadership.
• Manage banking relationships, facilities, fund management, and liaison with institutions.

About the Role

Baba Quartz is looking for an experienced and highly competent Senior Chartered Accountant to lead and oversee the company's financial operations, statutory compliance, taxation, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in export-import finance, taxation, financial statement finalization, equity financing, and IPO-related processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, working capital, and financial controls.
• Export-Import Finance: Manage export-import transactions, foreign exchange matters, banking documentation, letters of credit (LC), bank guarantees, and export-related financial compliance.
• GST Compliance: Ensure timely GST returns, reconciliations, input tax credit management, GST audits, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Income Tax Compliance: Handle income tax returns, tax planning, TDS compliance, tax audits, assessments, and coordination with tax authorities.
• Finalization of Financial Statements: Independently manage and finalize the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, schedules, and other financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Equity Financing: Manage equity funding, capital structuring, investor coordination, and financial due diligence.
• IPO Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of IPO processes, listing requirements, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and preparation for IPO readiness.
• Audit Management: Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and other audits while ensuring proper documentation and timely closure of audit observations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present MIS reports, financial statements, profitability analysis, and management reports to senior leadership.
• Banking & Treasury: Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, fund management, and liaison with financial institutions.
• Team Leadership: Lead the finance and accounts team, strengthen internal controls, and ensure accuracy and transparency in financial operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in export-import finance and foreign trade transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proven expertise in finalization of Balance Sheets and financial statements.
• Practical exposure to equity financing, fundraising, and capital structuring.
• Sound knowledge of IPO processes and related financial and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, ERP software, and advanced MS Excel.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, trading, export-oriented, or industrial organization will be preferred.
• Ability to independently manage the company's overall finance and taxation functions.
• Strong coordination skills with auditors, banks, consultants, investors, and regulatory authorities.
