Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post‑qualification experience in a global setup. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Indian statutory compliance (specifically STPI regulations) and international financial reporting. You will play a key role in managing foreign accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS), inter‑company reconciliations, and ensuring strict adherence to STPI/SEZ compliance norms.
Key Responsibilities
1. STPI & Statutory Compliance (Critical)
- STPI/SEZ Management: End‑to‑end management of STPI/SEZ compliance, including registration, renewal, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (MPR/APR).
- SOFTEX Filing: Timely filing and regularization of SOFTEX forms with the RBI and STPI authorities to ensure export proceeds realization.
- Customs & Bonding: Managing bonding/de‑bonding of imported and indigenous assets, warehousing protocols, and procurement under STPI schemes.
- Tax Compliance: Handling GST refunds/rebates specific to export‑oriented units (EOU) and ensuring compliance with TDS and Income Tax provisions.
2. Global & Foreign Accounting
- Multi‑GAAP Reporting: Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS (as applicable) alongside Indian GAAP (Ind AS).
- Inter‑Company Reconciliation: Managing complex inter‑company transactions, transfer pricing adjustments, and monthly reconciliations with global entities (multi‑currency handling).
- Forex Management: Accounting for foreign exchange fluctuations, hedging entries, and revaluation of foreign assets/liabilities.
- Consolidation: Assisting the global finance team in the consolidation of group accounts.
3. Core Accounting & General Ledger
- Month‑End Close: Leading the month‑end and year‑end closing process (financials closure) within strict global timelines.
- Audit Management: Leading statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits; acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Fixed Assets: Managing the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), depreciation schedules, and physical verification of assets.
- MIS Reporting: Preparing variance analysis (Budget vs. Actuals), cash flow forecasting, and monthly financial management reports for senior leadership.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Certification
- Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI (Must be a qualified member).
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Finance.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of Post‑Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Global Exposure: Must have worked in a Global MNC, Shared Service Center (SSC), or a Big 4 firm with international clients.
- Domain Expertise: Proven hands‑on experience in STPI/SEZ compliance and SOFTEX processes is non‑negotiable.
Technical Skills
- Accounting Standards: Strong knowledge of Ind AS and practical exposure to IFRS or US GAAP.
- ERP Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Tier‑1 ERP systems is required (e.g., SAP FICO, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with global stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines (specifically during month‑end closes).
