Job summary

Novoweb Ventures is seeking an experienced Accounts professional to manage day-to-day accounting, GST compliance, billing, and internal audits for PMC projects. The role includes site coordination, vendor payments, and meticulous documentation.

The candidate should have B.Com / M.Com and CA Inter (or equivalent) with 5–10 years in accounts, taxation and internal audit, and be proficient in GST, TDS, and ERP systems. Willingness to travel to project sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level commerce degree preferred; CA Inter or equivalent is a plus.
• 5–10 years of relevant accounting, taxation, GST and internal audit experience.
• Hands-on internal audit experience is essential.
• Strong GST, TDS, vendor accounting, reconciliations and taxation knowledge.
• Experience in EPC, solar, wind, infrastructure, construction, or PMC projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accounting entries, ledger scrutiny, vendor reconciliations and expense verification.
• GST compliance, TDS, ITC, returns, and tax documentation.
• Billing workings, vendor bills, work certificates, and payment coordination with client and site teams.
• Internal audit and compliance: perform checks, identify discrepancies, ensure policy adherence.

Job Purpose

To manage day-to-day accounting, taxation, GST compliance, billing documentation, payment coordination, and internal audit activities for PMC operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of bills, and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries, ledger scrutiny, vendor reconciliations, and expense verification.
• Maintain project-wise expense records, advance tracking, and timely recovery and adjustment of advances.
• Coordinate with the central accounts team for payments, outstanding balances, and monthly closing.

2. GST & Taxation

• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, GST returns, input tax credit (ITC), and applicable tax provisions.
• Verify vendor invoices, GST details, tax deductions, and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Ensure proper documentation and coordination for GST and other statutory compliances.

3. Billing & Payment Coordination

• Prepare and verify billing workings, vendor bills, work certifications, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with the client’s accounts team and site personnel for bill certification and payment clearance.
• Track submitted bills, pending approvals, payment status, and outstanding advances.

4. Internal Audit & Compliance

• Prior internal audit experience is mandatory.
• Conduct internal checks of expenses, vendor bills, supporting documents, and accounting entries.
• Identify discrepancies, documentation gaps, and non-compliance with internal financial controls.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, approval processes, and audit requirements.

5. Site Accounts & Documentation

• Coordinate with project site teams for invoices, work completion certificates, GRNs, expense vouchers, and other supporting documents.
• Verify site expenses and maintain proper records for audit and financial reporting.
• Visit project sites as required to support the PMC team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Com / M.Com; CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounts, taxation, GST, and internal audit.
• Hands‑on internal audit experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, vendor accounting, reconciliations, and taxation.
• Experience in EPC, solar, wind, infrastructure, construction, or PMC projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong documentation, coordination, analytical, and follow​‑up skills.
