Job summary

Lifenity Health Ltd. in Mumbai seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. You will ensure timely GST/TDS filings and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants in a healthcare setting.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, including CA Firm exposure, and strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Taxation and Tally ERP. Familiarity with hospital or diagnostic sector is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified with B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Finance).
• Inter CA / CA Final appeared candidates preferred.
• Healthcare, hospital, diagnostic industry exposure is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting: journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle AP/AR, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare and file GST and TDS returns within timelines.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and regulators.
• Assist in audits and close audit observations timely.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and budget variance analyses.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure documentation and record-keeping for all transactions.
• Identify process improvements and implement best accounting practices.

Job Location: Senior Accountant - Mumbai, Lower Parel - Kamala Mills and Narimanpoint

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation activities.
• Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in financial audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, budget variance analysis, and management reports.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies and statutory regulations.
• Verify vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and payroll-related accounting entries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation and record management for all financial transactions.
• Identify process improvements and implement best accounting practices.

Educational Qualification:

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance).
• Inter CA / CA Final Appeared candidates preferred.
• Additional qualifications in Finance, Taxation, or Accounting will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in a Chartered Accountant (CA) Firm is mandatory.
• Experience in healthcare, diagnostic, hospital, or service industry will be preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting.
• Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime software
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
• Experience in audit handling and financial analysis.
