Job summary

alliantgroup, LP, a national consulting firm focused on strengthening US businesses, seeks an Audit professional to join the Audit & Assurance service line on a permanent basis. You will gain exposure to US GAAP financial statements and contribute to planning, execution and reporting across diverse industries.

You will work with a diverse team, develop your career, and build strong relationships with colleagues in India and global teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards is listed, with familiarity to IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP being an advantage.
• Experience with external/statutory audits at Big 4 or mid-tier firms is expected.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate with India and global teams.
• Promoting positive work culture and aligning with Alliantvalues.

Responsibilities

DETAILED JOBDESCRIPTION

As an Audit professional, you will play an important role in theexecution of audits and will join a diverse team of talented auditprofessionals. This would require you to get involved and lead each of thestages of audit (planning, execution, and reporting). You’ll have to:

• Plan, execute and monitor auditengagements
• Prepare work papers which record andsummarize audit procedures performed.
• Perform analytical procedure on significantaccounts, which comprises of setting expectations, determining variancethresholds, and investigating difference beyond expectations.
• Perform test of details for variouscomponents of financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of draftfinancial statements including footnotes.
• Serve as a participant/team lead oncommunication with engagement team/clients.
• Develop a good understanding of the sourcesof accounting and auditing literature

REQUIREMENTSAND EXPECTATIONS

• 1. Knowledgeof Indian accounting and auditing standards or knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP /US GAAP and International auditing standards is an added advantage.
• 2. Workingexperience with Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm focused on external orstatutory audits.
• 3. Detailedknowledge and hands on experience of MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• 4. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.
• 5. Theability to quickly form strong working relationship with colleagues in Indiaand global teams.
