Suryadev Alloys And Power in India is seeking a proactive Security Supervisor to oversee operations across steel, DRI, WHRB, power plant, and specialty steel units. You will lead guards, enforce strict access controls, and coordinate with HR and plant heads on security matters.

The role requires physical fitness, discipline and ex-defense leadership experience, with basic computer skills to maintain records and reports.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and monitor security operations across plant units.
• Lead, deploy, and manage security guards, shift in-charges and other personnel.
• Enforce entry/exit procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles and material movement.
• Monitor gate passes, registers for inward/outward materials, vehicle movements and scrap movement.
• Conduct regular patrolling of plant premises and critical locations.
• Ensure CCTV, access control, visitor management and security comms function effectively.
• Maintain shift rosters, attendance, handover reports and incident registers.
• Coordinate security matters with HR, Administration, Plant Heads, Stores and Dispatch.
• Handle emergencies and coordinate with emergency response teams and EHS where needed.
• Support evacuation, drills and incident management in coordination with EHS.

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor security operations across Steel, DRI, WHRB, Power Plant, and Speciality Steel units.
• Lead, deploy, and manage security guards, shift in-charges, and other security personnel.
• Implement strict entry and exit procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and material movement.
• Monitor gate passes, material inward and outward registers, vehicle movements, dispatches, and scrap movement to prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized activities.
• Conduct regular patrolling of plant premises, boundary walls, warehouses, yards, stores, production areas, and other critical locations.
• Ensure effective functioning of CCTV surveillance, access control systems, visitor management, and security communication systems.
• Maintain shift rosters, attendance, duty allocation, handover reports, incident registers, and daily security reports.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, conduct surprise inspections, and recommend corrective measures.
• Coordinate with HR, Administration, Plant Heads, Stores, Dispatch, and other departments on security-related matters.
• Enforce security protocols for restricted areas, high-value materials, equipment, fuel, finished goods, and sensitive operational locations.
• Handle emergencies such as theft, trespassing, unauthorized gatherings, workplace conflicts, fire incidents, and other security threats; coordinate with the relevant emergency response teams.
• Support emergency evacuation, fire and safety drills, disaster response, and incident management in coordination with the EHS department.

• Investigate security incidents, prepare incident reports, preserve relevant evidence, and submit findings to management.
• Ensure proper coordination during management visits, VIP visits, audits, inspections, and other high-security activities.

Preferred Background:

Retired or honourably discharged Army candidates.

Physically fit, disciplined, alert, and capable of working in rotational shifts.

Basic computer knowledge for maintaining security records, preparing reports.

A disciplined Ex-Defence professional with strong command experience, sound judgment, high integrity, and the ability to lead a security team in a large integrated steel manufacturing plant.
