Job summary

JSW Steel Kalmeshwar requires a Team Lead - Security and Administration to manage physical security operations across the facility. You will oversee access control, CCTV, and safety of personnel, clients, visitors, vendors, property, and assets.

The role involves risk analysis, proactive security improvements, incident reporting, and liaison with local authorities. Strong leadership and security automation knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Educational background as stated: Any Graduate/ Army Graduate, Diploma in Computer and preferably security management courses/certification with 10–15 years in manufacturing/heavy engineering security.

Responsibilities

• Implement security policies, protocols and procedures in the facility.
• Ensure security operational readiness by round the clock and functioning of all security equipment.
• Ensure security of all assets placed inside the facility and security of own equipment.
• Plan and coordinate security for all events.
• Maintain records of security materials and forms; print in time.
• Maintain materials movement records.
• Coordinate Republic Day/Independence Day activities and flag changes.
• Liaise with cross functional teams to ensure smooth security operations.
• Identify and resolve security breaches during events.
• Report incidents to Security Head promptly and develop incident reports.
• Conduct regular security drills and training for stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies per procedures and counter espionage plans.
• Develop strong intelligence network and multiple information sources.
• Restrict access to blacklisted personnel/vehicles inside premises.
• Investigate incidents and prepare management reports on security status.
• Ensure security documents are maintained and promote inclusive behavior.

Education

Any Graduate/ Army Graduate, Diploma in Computer and preferably security management courses/certification with Minimum 10 - 15 years of Experience in a manufacturing / heavy engineering industry as a security officer.

Purpose - Why does this role exist?

1.Manage physical security operations, access control, CCTV, and other physical security systems for JSW Steel coated business unit and to ensure the safety and security of personnel, clients, visitors, vendors, property, and assets of the company.

2.Provide a thorough analysis of security risks and the development of appropriate mitigating strategies. Alert to and proactive in making suggestions for continuous improvement of security procedures and systems management.

3. Preventive vigilance & Intelligence and will be responsible to generate intelligence for the Kalmeshwar facility

1. Implement security policies, protocols and procedures in the facility.
2. Ensure security operational readiness by round the clock and functioning of all security equipment.
3. Ensure security of all assets placed inside the facility and security of own equipment.
4. Plan and coordinate security for all events.
5. Ensure that all the print materials (register/forms) pertaining to security is printed in time
6. Ensure proper maintaining of records of materials movement.
7. Ensure that celebration parade of Republic Day and Independence day as per order and timely changing National flag of Admin building.
8. Carried out any other official orders issued to him by seniors and perform duties assigned to him promptly.
9. Keep good liaison with cross functional teams and ensure smooth security operations.
10. Identify and resolve security breaches during events.
11. Ensure timely reporting of incidents to Security Head.
12. Conduct regular security drills and training of all stakeholders.
13. Respond to all emergencies as per procedures.
14. Investigate, resolve issues and create reports for management on security status.
15. Ensure intelligence and vigilance mechanism is functional in an appropriate manner.
16. Collection of information from various agencies for preventive actions.
17. Close liaison with local police station, security professionals of nearby facilities and Contractors Workers & Supervisors.
18. Responsible for checking credentials and verifications of contractual workers.
19. Capability of developing sources for collection of information
20. Develop strong intelligence network and have multiple sources for the same.
21. Prepare plan for restricting access to blacklisted and watch listed personnel/Vehicles inside plant premises.
22. Carry out investigation and prepare incident reports.
23. Prepare training programs and train subordinates on intelligence gathering.
24. Prepare plans to counter espionage and prevent leakage of information.
25. Prepare SOPs and case studies and learnings from incidents.
26. Responsible for the efficiency, discipline and morale of the security personnel.
27. Ensure that all security and safety of documents related to Security dept are maintained.
28. Awareness of the diverse workforce and modeling inclusive behavior for others.

9. Expertise in converting conventional security to physical security automation.

Educational Background and Work Experience

• To maintain security manpower in all security post, Daily briefing & de briefing sessions.
• Coordinate Emergency Response and related evacuation planning and drills. Develop strong liaisons and coordinate with emergency first responders as needed.
