Job summary

Noventiq India, Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Trainee to monitor security events and assist in incident triage. You will work with SIEM tools, gain hands-on experience in detection and response, and grow within a security-focused team.

Ideal candidates have a basic foundation in cybersecurity, familiarity with Windows/Linux, and a strong desire to learn. The role offers structured development, collaboration with IT security teams, and opportunities for certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms (Azure Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS, networking basics, and cloud security concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in cybersecurity operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from SIEM tools.
• Assist in the initial triage of alerts to identify potential security incidents.
• Escalate verified incidents to the L1/L2 team as per procedures.
• Maintain and update daily/weekly security monitoring reports.
• Support in creating and refining detection rules and use cases under supervision.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure proactive defense.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.


• Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents).


• Exposure to Azure Sentinel or any other SIEM platform (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, etc.).


• Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS, networking basics, and cloud security concepts.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity operations.
