Job summary

Dalmia Cement invites experienced civil professionals to oversee civil construction and maintenance works at our plant structures and residential colony in Belagavi District, Karnataka. You will coordinate with Mechanical and E&I teams, ensure structural stability of heavy foundations, support shutdowns and capacity expansion, and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise civil construction and maintenance works of plant structures & residential colony
• Support civil works during shutdowns, debottlenecking, capacity expansion, WHRS, AFR, and greenfield/brownfield projects
• Ensure structural stability of heavy equipment foundations and vibration-prone areas
• Coordinate with Mechanical and E&I teams for integrated execution
• Maintain and upgrade residential quarters, guest houses, offices & other facilities as per organizational standards
• Maintain internal roads, drainage, rainwater harvesting structures, sewage systems, overhead/underground water tanks, and boundary walls
• Ensure quick resolution of civil maintenance issues impacting employee welfare
• Promote long-life asset designs to reduce recurring civil maintenance
• Support in preparation of BOQs, estimates, technical specifications, and work schedules
• Verify measurements and certify bills in line with organizational SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, statutory requirements, and industry accepted norms for Civil works.
• Maintain records for structural health monitoring, inspections, drawings, measurement books, work permits, and completion reports
• Ensure 100% compliance with established safety & environment policies and procedures of the organization
• Responsible for supporting CSR activities
• Responsible for water supply in plant and colony
• Responsible for building a vibrant team, managing succession planning, developing the second line and improving the competency levels of the Civil Team.
• Responsible for billing in SAP system.
• Responsible for drawing review & rectification.
• Responsible for ensuring material & machinery.
• Responsible for coordinate with vendor & staff.
• Responsible for department TNI.
